Sensitive personal information: We collect allergy and dietary restriction information, which may be considered sensitive personal information under CPRA. This data is used solely to fulfill your order safely. You have the right to limit the use of your sensitive personal information to purposes necessary to provide the services you request. Automated decision-making: Nova does not use automated decision-making technology (ADMT) to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects on you.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your personal information for the following purposes:
- Fulfill orders: Process, coordinate, and deliver your concierge order
- Communicate with you: Send quotes, order updates, substitution questions, delivery confirmations, and follow-ups via SMS and phone

3. SMS & Phone Communications
When you submit an order, you expressly consent to receive SMS text messages and phone calls from Nova at the number you provide. This consent is governed by the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), 47 U.S.C. § 227.
- Types of messages: Quotes, payment links, order updates, substitution inquiries, delivery confirmations, and post-delivery follow-ups
- Frequency: Varies per order, typically 3–10 messages per order cycle
- Opt-out: Reply STOP to any message to opt out of non-transactional messages. Note: opting out of transactional messages during an active order may prevent us from fulfilling your request
- Cost: Standard message and data rates from your carrier may apply
Your consent to receive SMS is not a condition of purchasing our services, except as reasonably necessary to coordinate your specific order.
4. How We Share Your Information
We may share your information with the following parties, and only to the extent necessary:
- Property managers/partners: Your name, check-in details, and order timing (not your full order) may be shared with the property manager to coordinate access
- Third-party alcohol providers: If your order includes alcohol, your name, delivery address, and alcohol-specific items are shared with a licensed third-party fulfillment provider
- Payment processors: Your payment information is handled by our third-party payment processor. We never see or store your full card number
- Service providers: We may use third-party tools for analytics, hosting, and SMS delivery that process data on our behalf under contractual obligations
- Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, court order, or to protect our rights, safety, or property
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.
5. Your Rights Under California Law
If you are a California resident, the CCPA and CPRA grant you the following rights:
- Right to know: You may request a copy of the personal information we have collected about you, including the categories and sources of data, the business purpose for collecting it, and the categories of third parties with whom it was shared. Under CPRA, this right extends to data collected beyond the preceding 12 months where feasible
- Right to delete: You may request that we delete personal information we have collected from you, subject to certain legal exceptions (e.g., legal compliance, completing a transaction)
- Right to correct: You may request that we correct inaccurate personal information
- Right to limit use of sensitive personal information: You may direct us to limit the use of sensitive personal information (such as allergy data) to purposes necessary to provide our services
- Right to opt out of sale/sharing: We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. There is nothing to opt out of
- Right to non-discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your privacy rights

6. Cookies & Tracking
Our website uses minimal cookies and tracking technologies:
- Essential cookies: Required for the website to function (e.g., form state, session persistence)
- Analytics: We may use privacy-respecting analytics tools to understand how visitors use our site. If we use specific third-party analytics (e.g., Cloudflare Web Analytics), we will link to their privacy policy here. No personal data is sold to advertisers
We do not use third-party advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or cross-site tracking. Your browser's "Do Not Track" signal and Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal are respected.

- Order data: Retained for 3 years after your last order for service quality, dispute resolution, tax obligations, and legal compliance

On our order form, this notice is provided through the consent checkbox and a link to this Privacy Policy. On our contact form, this notice is provided through the form itself and the linked policy.

If we make material changes to how we handle your personal information, we will provide notice through the website or direct communication. Our services are primarily offered in California. If you access our website or use our services from outside California, your information will be processed in the United States. By using our services, you consent to the transfer and processing of your information in the United States, which may have different data protection laws than your jurisdiction.
